Wicked
Av, Ree & Trent joined me for a delightful evening at the musical Wicked. We ate at Olive Garden then show the show. We had great seats. Trent bought me a charm bracelet that I wear a lot and love! The girls got tees and he bought a hoodie. I do appreciate A & T taking me along and Cheri coming too.

More on motherhood
Thought I would share with you my motherhood status. I have 4 grown kids. Two boys ( now grown men) and two daughters who are mothers too. I have been blest with 17 grand kids. Ages 18 to 6 months. Three of my children and all grands live hereby. Two children live here in Eagle Mt. One in Syracuse. Ut and one in Seattle.
Things in Eagle Mt. have turned out to be very windy this last couple of days actually the whole week the wind is blowing. The tulips and flowers and trees are in bloom the lawns are green and we're watering them and cutting and fertilizing. Its springtime in the mountains.
I got a Swing glider for my Mothers day gift. Just what I asked for. Hubby put it together for me on our back patio.
Libby Hancock is bringing over some bulbs to plant in my yard.
I bore my testimony on Sun. And especially shared my thoughts on what it means to be meek. Meek means having the courage to control one's strength. Think how mighty Christ was. He could have destroyed his enemies with a word but used his strength to bless not hurt. He was a true example of meekness. Each of us has a choice to follow Christ's example and control our strength and power to bless.

Lisa and Paul's wedding reception in Utah
Lisa and Paul's wedding reception was one of the funnest times I've had in a long time. I had arranged for five young women to come and help serve and they did. One of the young women is a great friend of mine and her picture is down below and she is working in the kitchen. She is one of the students that comes and takes art lessons from me and lives across the street. We made the boutonnieres and corsages and bridesmaids bouquets out of purple and yellow calla lilies and there's a photo below.
Cheri made the cake and it was truly a work of art. Everyone said it was delicious. Cheri made us a layer in the cake that was gluten-free for me and Lisa to be able to eat it.
The place for the wedding was beautiful. It is called the Talons Cove golf club and has a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains.
Lisa and Paul planned the entire reception and it was so much fun! There were about 200 people there most of them Lisa's friends. Paul's family and our family including Avalie and Trebt and their children, Cheri and her daughter, Brett and Vickiand their 10 kids. Of course Lisa is their oldest

Hurt ankle
While leaving church last Sunday Sept 4, 2012, I fell off the curb and hurt my foot and hurt my ankle and wrist and knees. Here's what my swollen foot look like compared to my other. It's been a week now and I am starting to feel better and the swelling is going down. I canceled my art classes and I'm waiting for it to be completely better before I try any strenuous activities.

Wedding of our First Grandchild and our 50th wedding anniversary
Bob and Carol enjoyed seeing Kennedy Space Center with Heather.
They included DisneyWorld, Epcot, Universal Studio, Kennedy Space Center, Gatorland, and, of course, Walmart. We stayed at the WorldQuest Resort and had a lovely comfortable room. S&H celebrated their honeymoon, Bob and I our 50th wedding anniversary and the beautiful bride and groom were married and left on a cruise for the Bahamas. We all were leaving just as Hurricane Isaac was heading Florida's way.
and Trent's family, Brett's family, Paul and Lisa enjoy an Epcot Photo moment!
One of the things we had to get use to was the daily afternoon thunderstorms. They clouds were open and pour buckets and buckets of rain on us as we did the various activities. We learned to carry pocket-sized ponchos and just duck under the nearest shelter. The storms were accompanied by lightning and thunder and the airport baggage loading and unloading would come to an abrupt halt when the first crack of thunder and light was upon us. When Bob and I arrived, our baggage was delayed over an hour waiting for the storm to pass, then when flying home our plane was delayed about half of hour for the same reason.
Lisa and Paul were married in the Orlando Florida Temple

July
So much as happened since I last posted. The end of June I went out to Seattle to help Scotty with his colon surgery. The surgery was very successful though he had a lot of pain and was in the hospital for five days. Sweet, wonderful Heather stayed with him in the hospital the whole time. She and I became the best of friends and I love her so much.
I stayed three weeks and then I came back to Utah and Heather went to her sisters wedding and then returned back to Seattle to be with Scott.
Bob has been working very hard helping Avalie and Trent with their sprinkler and landscaping issues for their new house. He had cataract surgery last Wednesday, July 18 on his good eye. So far things are looking very hopeful that he will be able to see much better with the new lens.
We had several birthdays K. turned 12 years old and received the priesthood at church. There were about 30 family members and friends that came to honor him at this time.
Lisa, our first grandchild got engaged to Paul.

On going battle with fibromyalgia
I have had fibromyalgia for over 30 years. The disease has left me with weekly canker sores in my mouth and tongue, severe headaches, depression, muscle aches, extreme fatigue, irritability and the inability to plan much ahead because of flareups. The symptoms were mild at first but lately have reached a point of my pain levels around 6 to 7 on a scale from zero being no pain to 10 being severe!
Several doctors have suggested a drug called Savilla but I resisted trying to manage the fibro without medication. Perhaps it's my age -- 70 years old --perhaps it's the five surgeries I had last year, or the fact that I'm just ready for a better standard of life that I took the advice and have begun taking Savella.
The improvement is incredible. After taking medicine for only three days I had a great day yesterday for my pain was reduced with the fatigue and I was able to participate in very major activities without being completely exhausted and sick at the end of the day. My mind is lighter, I feel less burdened and I know there is something wonderful going on with this new medicine.
I am keeping a chart with my symptoms and the level, and the degree of severity and how they are improving plus notes on what I am able to accomplish. I am on a trial package right now that will end in two months, and we will see at what level I need to continue to take medication. I feel this is a blessing from the Lord, and I am very grateful for it!
Update on my health since using DoTerra essential oils and eating gluten, corn, chicken, dairy (mostly) free. I haven't had a sore in my. Now for several months.

American mothers of achievement
It was a most excellent day today. My daughter-in-law, Vicki, received the American mother's achievement award for 2012 and a beautiful luncheon that was held in Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake. Brett picked me up in the morning with Vicki and seven of their 10 children to celebrate this great day.
When we got there it was buzzing with beautiful women of all ages and their families. Cheri and Sophie arrived and joined us also Vicki's mother, Ara. we were all so proud of Vicki.
