Nana goldilocks new bed

Some of my younger children friends Call me sister Goldilocks because they can't say sister Gerlach. Just like Goldilocks I'm really like trying and changing my bedrooms. This is my latest creation which is upstairs after moving out of my bedroom downstairs to make room for Heather and Scott who are coming to stay with us for several months.

IT'S MY FAVORITE SO FAR JUST RIGHT! NOT TOO HARD, NOT TO SOFT, NOT TOO HIGH and not TO LOw--JUST LIKE GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS STORY!

Watercolor classes in October

Jessica Lindsey And Juli Call Did a super job on their first class of painting watercolors. I have two other students that weren't able to make it on the first day of class.

Bob in Sprinkler mode

Bob installed and worked very hard on Avalie's yard this summer. He put in sprinklers, a backflow Regulator, Water pressure valve And several items that I'm not even aware of. He got a good tan, a good workout and did a great job.

Portland & Cannon Beach

September 27, 2012 I was able to go and visit Scott and Heather in Seattle. I stayed for about two weeks. on one of the weekends, Heather and I drove down to Portland to see where we used to live and the little house.

We visited with Barbara Clark Hovorka and went to church and Gen Conf on Oct 7. Then We drove to Camp 18 and on down to Cannon Beach. We hiked up to Ecola state park to enjoy the beautiful vistas. Then we rushed home to watch the beautiful sunset by Haystack Rock after visiting the little town of Seaside. We both had a wonderful fun time together!! How I love my sweet daughter-in-law !!!

A Broken Arm or 2

K Broke both arms playing on the monkey bars on Sunday at his Oma's house. Ice packs every 20 minutes the last four days, a trip to the emergency room and the bone specialist Revealed two bones broken in each arm and that he would stay in splints for three weeks then Hopefully bones would be repairing themselves and they could put a cast on each arm for another three weeks. Many prayers have been set for him, Meals and cookies and friends has stopped over, And a blessing for me is being able to stay with him every day from 10 o'clock to 5 o'clock and help Avalie So she can teach the other three children their homeschooling and I can answer Kimball Needs.
In addition to the broken arms and the fence is being installed at their house in the backyard and with the help of friends and a lot of the work themselves sod is being laid.

B boy turns 4

Today was a special day as I took my little grandson B's gift over To his house and watched him open his card with his four dollars -- one dollar for each year that he is old. Also we gave him two little books about the toy story Which was his favorite gift Of the things that I brought today.

More on motherhood

Thought I would share with you my motherhood status. I have 4 grown kids. Two boys ( now grown men) and two daughters who are mothers too. I have been blest with 17 grand kids. Ages 18 to 6 months. Three of my children and all grands live hereby. Two children live here in Eagle Mt. One in Syracuse. Ut and one in Seattle.

Things in Eagle Mt. have turned out to be very windy this last couple of days actually the whole week the wind is blowing. The tulips and flowers and trees are in bloom the lawns are green and we're watering them and cutting and fertilizing. Its springtime in the mountains.
I got a Swing glider for my Mothers day gift. Just what I asked for. Hubby put it together for me on our back patio.
Libby Hancock is bringing over some bulbs to plant in my yard.
I bore my testimony on Sun. And especially shared my thoughts on what it means to be meek. Meek means having the courage to control one's strength. Think how mighty Christ was. He could have destroyed his enemies with a word but used his strength to bless not hurt. He was a true example of meekness. Each of us has a choice to follow Christ's example and control our strength and power to bless.
