Foot surgery again

I just got out of the foot doctor's office. I have four cysts on my left heel and one on my right and they require surgery. My surgery will be Friday, March 17. The pain on these feet has been really bad so I'm glad to get some relief.

The only downside to this surgery is the recovery. I will have to stay off my feet for three weeks ouch. It is a small price to pay for feet that don't hurt anymore and I am going to do it.

Today I moved some of my things to the guest bedroom upstairs closer to where Bob works in the office. This way he won't have to go up and down the stairs and down the stairs to the basement where I normally sleep to help me with my meals and other necessities.

Did you Steal her from the cradle

While we were at the doctors office on Tuesday to have DH eyes checked, we mentioned the fact that our 50th wedding anniversary would be celebrated on June 30 this year. In great surprise the doctor looked at me and then looked at DH and said "Did you steal her from the cradle?"

DH replied "Well she is very lively and I'm a quite a bit calmer"  The comment put a smile on my face as I said to the doctor "Here, let me give you five dollars" he held out his hand in a mock gesture of taking the five dollars from me and we all laughed heartily.

The really good news, however, was not a compliment but the fact that DH eyes are registering 20/50 and his vision is improved from the steroid treatment!

An update to this post is DH Had successful cataract surgery on his other eye and he can see well enough to drive.

Sunday

DH did not feel well today. He was overcome with exhaustion headache and was very dizzy. He slept most of the day sleeping.. I went to church and bore my testimony. I thanked Hwavenly father for prayer and strength through the Holy Ghost. After sacrament meeting I came home to be with DH. He was sound asleep so I ate some lunch, changed my clothes and proceeded to listen to my book and rest. I napped off and on all afternoon as I listened to my audiobook. I woke about 5 o'clock,  and DH was in his office.

We had a good visit and then he told me he would like to take a trip to MontrĂ©al Canada. HIS MOTHER'S PEOPLE ARE FROM THERE. He would like to go and visit and see what it looks like. He wants to take A&T.  Because T, speaks French and A.would take good care of him. I suggested to him that he locate through ancestry.com one of his relatives who lives in the area. There are many obstacles in his way to accomplish this trip, but I will not discourage him. I have had to cancel at least three trips (LasVegas, Palm Desert and Seattle) because he was too nervous to go. We shall see how this progresses I pray for his success.

Dancing in the kitchen

I really love listening to Roy Orbison. Some of his songs just absolutely thrill me.

Today while we were emptying the dishwasher I was being particularly rough on Bob. You see we had a very good system every morning and he says since I cook meals, do all the errands, pay the bills, drive the car, help him and do 100 other things he says for him. So he insists that he wants to empty the dishwasher. Lately, the last couple days, I've gotten up in the morning and the dishwasher hasn't been emptied and I do it.

So I asked him why he's changing his schedule and he tells me that he's afraid he's going to wake me up in the morning. I have assured him several times that I cannot hear the dishwasher from the basement where I sleep but he still thinks it's a problem as I begin to assure him again it was not a problem I was going about telling him in a mean way. When I realized what I was doing, I kind of smiled at him and began to sing "I got a woman mean as she can be. Sometimes I think she's almost mean to me." His sweet old eyes got huge and he looked me right in the face and I began to sing and laugh and then I said I'm going to play that song for you. I turned on my iPhone, Roy Orbison Mean woman blues, and we danced and touched and swayed and as he began to kiss me we danced the twist and held each other tight as he told me how beautiful I was and how special I am. It was really wonderful. I love him so much.

A visit

Today we had a phone call from the Stake Exe. Secretary asking if the Stake Presidency could stop by for a few minutes tonight.  President Kidd, Richards and Harrington came around 7pm, and we had a wonderful visit. They asked Bob about his latest health crisis and I got to bear my testimony of God's strength and help through prayer.  We also told them the good news that A&T have received verbal agreement from the bank that they are accepting their offer for the new house just two doors down from us. We got to share our excitement over the new indexing app on the mobile phones.  Bob told them about the new Family Tree. It was a wonderful visit and we so appreciated it.

To see or not to see

My eyesight. after having cataract surgery there was some problems with my retina with too much fluid behind it. The doctor injected steroids directly into my retina near the eyeball and we waited for the blurry vision to clear up. After both eyes were injected the vision return to 20/20. However, today there was a large white mass above the left eye over the left eye. I called my friend BethAnn and she took me immediately to the doctor's office. The doctor said that the mass was quite normal after having the steroids injected into my eye and that it would be allright

Blogging with my iPhone 4S

I just want to say I LOVE my I Phone The last blog I wrote about Loving Moving Furniture including the photo I did with the App from Blogger on IPhone.  Yes, its true and so great.  I haven't been blogging much lately because of all the other musts that get in the way, but now when I have a few minutes, I just talk into that cute little iPhone, snap a photo, publish and it's done. Just saying!!

Also, you can go between the various blogs and chose the one you want to work in.  I'm definitely back in the blogging mode and am so glad.  At the end of the year, I'm planning to use Blurb to print my blog and will have my personal history for the year DONE. Oh Yeah!!

Moving furniture my favorite pastime

It's another beautiful day in Eagle mountain in Utah. I woke up to a beautiful half an inch of snow on the ground and 13° temperature and it's February 20 Presidents' Day. Lily jumped in bed with me about 5 o'clock this morning but didn't stay too long because I kick too much! After morning prayer Bob told me he had an idea for his bedroom. Now the problem has been Bob's bedroom is always cold. It's on the north east end of the house it has four huge windows and two of them are on the north side of the house and two of them are on the east side of the house and the furnace doesn't seem to quite warm enough. He suggested we move the twin beds to the other side of the room against the west wall where it's a lot warmer. He also said that he was pretty busy today working on a PhD paper to review. I told him I wasn't so busy and I could work a little bit. I started and got one bed moved over and a triple dresser with mirror moved and then asked him to come and tell me how he wanted the other things arranged. He came in and helped me for two hours. His suggestions were great. The room looks so much bigger and he'll definitely be warmer

Thanks Giving 2011

Hubby and I celebrated Thanksgiving on the weekend before the actual turkey day.  We do that every year and call it our T.A.B. party.  (Thanksgiving, anniversary, and birthdays). Yes, we were married on DH's (dear hubby) birthday, Nov. 16, 1962. Plus we have two more grands added to the November TAB party, W. and B. We celebrated 49 years this year.  Wow, can 50th only be a year away.  Since I had cataract surgery schedule for Nov. 23, V&B offered their home for our celebration.  I cooked barbecue chicken with whole onions, seven layer salad, baked beans. CR brought the cakes, AM did the rice. B&V made homemade chocolate ice cream in their huge mixer.  It was so fun. 3 children and spouses, 17 grands and the spirit of the Lord all present.  I am so blessed and joyful.
