Halloween 2012
We had a beautiful night for Halloween. We gave out bracelets and necklaces and sunglasses instead of candy this year and the kids loved. Av and family stopped by to show us their costumes.
Scott & Heather arrived
S & H arrived this morning at 3 AM to stay with us for extended period while Scott's health improves and Heather enjoys getting to know the family better. We are so happy to have them here.
O.C.C. Obcessive, Compulsive, Cleaning
Pantry is ordered and clean after having too voles (a type of mice) in it for 2 weeks. We bought canisters to put all of the cellophane wrapped food in as they enjoy eating through those.

Searching by Carol Gerlach
The thoughts come in
Both truth and sin.
Dear God, show me the right.
Give me guidance and sight!
This world, this place-
I miss your face!
The joy and love,
Please send down from above.
Each tender mercy,
I am embrace.
Each moment of reflection,
Brings me to a place
Where we can be,
Just you and me!
Spirit to spirit inside me dwells
The light of Christ all fear to dispel
You nurture me sweetly,
With thoughts from thee
Obedient, radiant, you reach out to me
I feel your touch
Through a child's embrace!
I feel your kiss
As wind upon my face!
I search for your beauty
Above all else.
In every flower and creation so fine!
Searching, you are there
I see you every time!
Both truth and sin.

Nana goldilocks new bed
Some of my younger children friends Call me sister Goldilocks because they can't say sister Gerlach. Just like Goldilocks I'm really like trying and changing my bedrooms. This is my latest creation which is upstairs after moving out of my bedroom downstairs to make room for Heather and Scott who are coming to stay with us for several months.
IT'S MY FAVORITE SO FAR JUST RIGHT! NOT TOO HARD, NOT TO SOFT, NOT TOO HIGH and not TO LOw--JUST LIKE GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS STORY!

Portland & Cannon Beach
September 27, 2012 I was able to go and visit Scott and Heather in Seattle. I stayed for about two weeks. on one of the weekends, Heather and I drove down to Portland to see where we used to live and the little house.
We visited with Barbara Clark Hovorka and went to church and Gen Conf on Oct 7. Then We drove to Camp 18 and on down to Cannon Beach. We hiked up to Ecola state park to enjoy the beautiful vistas. Then we rushed home to watch the beautiful sunset by Haystack Rock after visiting the little town of Seaside. We both had a wonderful fun time together!! How I love my sweet daughter-in-law !!!
